Scrolling LED Nametag Badge
An LED scrolling badge is a type of Name Tag that clips onto a garment with the use of magnets. This ever more popular new type of scrolling text sign is the kind that is worn like a name tag. However, these badges may be a mystery to anyone who has never seen one. LED Scrolling Badges are an exciting new trend in personal identification. You can wear your LED Scrolling Badge in place of or near your regular ID badge and a 50 letter constant scroll LED message will be shown over and over.
The interesting part of this type of name tag though is the message. There is a small screen on the scrolling badge that can light up with LED lights. The lights are generally red, for good visibility. So instead of only seeing Your Name, people will see whatever You Want them to see about your product, service or company. For instance you could say, "Hi I'm Tom with Nike. See our entire new line here." While you are dealing with other customers you're LED scrolling badge is introducing you your company and your new product line to people reading your eye-catching message. LED scrolling badges are fun, with large bright red letters and run for a full day on a single battery. Since many people have not yet seen the LED scrolling badges, you can still add the element of surprise to your next show.
Another key to the LED scrolling badge is the term scrolling. This means that the message scrolls across the screen continually. Only six characters are shown at any given time. People become fascinated watching the scrolling letters, trying to see what is coming up next. Many people will continue to watch the scroll long after they have memorized the message.
A good programmable badge will have several speed adjustments. There may be up to 5 different speeds that can be set. It might be desirable to have the words slowly moving across the screen to make sure others get the full impact of the message. On the other hand, if time with the person is limited, it might be better to have the message moving rapidly across. That way the other person can see the whole message before leaving.
Some LED scrolling badges require a computer for programming them. There is no need for that when digital name tags can be purchased that can be set up without the use of a PC. This type is more convenient. Name tags can be set up on the spot at conventions, business meetings, or parties.
An important feature to look for is the ability to reprogram the marquee. In order to use the badges more than once, it is usually necessary to change the message. Different people will use the badges, so different names will have to be put into them. As they are being used to promote something new, the advertising will almost always change.
LED scrolling badges are often used as tools for advertising. They can also be used to give information. They can be used to impart a friendly greeting or simply to make an introduction. They have the capability of giving more information than ordinary name tags, so they have more uses. The best way to find out about scrolling badges is to see one. When they are demonstrated on a website, it is obvious what they are and how they work.
